Psoriasis

Psoriasis is a chronic and non-contagious skin disease that affects about 125 million people worldwide, its main characteristic is the presence of reddish patches with scales on the body.

The manifestation of signs and symptoms varies from patient to patient, but may involve:

• Itching, burning and pain;
• Red spots with whitish or silvery dry scales;
• Dry and cracked skin, which may or may not bleed;
• Swelling and stiffness in the joints;
• Small residual white or dark spots after injuries;
• Thick, ridged, funky nails with punctate depressions.
